On behalf of the theme team for Volcanism in the Earth System, I would like
to draw your attention to the topical sessions planned for the
upcoming Goldschmidt
2020 <https://goldschmidt.info/2020/index>conference
<https://goldschmidt.info/2020/index> in Honolulu, June 21-26.
Including perennial favorites, cross-disciplinary frontiers, and unique
professional tributes, the suite encompasses the diverse range of volcanic
and magmatic processes that control the nature and impacts of volcanic
eruptions.

Sessions:
05a Volcano-Environment and Volcano-Atmosphere Interactions
05b Submarine Volcanic, Magmatic, and Hydrothermal Processes
05c From Mush to Magma: The Dynamics of Volcanic Systems and their Link
with Volcanism
05d Constraining Petrological and Geochemical Variations in Magmas to
Capture the Evolution of Volcanoes over Space and Time
05e Geochemistry, Mechanics, and Thermodynamics of Magmatic Processes
05f Mantle Structure and Composition: The View from Intraplate Volcanism
05g Volcano-Petrology Applied to the Earth and Other Terrestrial Planets:
Celebrating the Diverse Contributions of Mac Rutherford
05h The Origin and Evolution of Hawaiian Volcanoes: A Celebration of the
Scientific Contributions of Michael O. Garcia
05i The Magmatic Breath â?? Volcanic Systems Studied Through Volatile
Elements
05j Volatiles in Earthâ??s Mantle: A Session in Honor of Dave Hilton
05k The Role of Petrography and Geochemistry in Deciphering Eruption Styles
and Dynamics
05l Effects of Volcanism on Environmental and Biological Evolution during
the Phanerozoic
05m Magma on the Move: Influence of Rheology on Igneous Processes on Earth
and Beyond

The deadline for abstract submission is February 21st. Submit your abstract
here <https://goldschmidt.info/2020/abstracts>.
