2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2 From: "Cottrell, Elizabeth" <cottrelle@xxxxxx> Announcing a Deep Volatiles Session (02d) at Goldschmidt 2020 Please consider submitting your work to Session 02d, Deep Volatiles, for the 2020 Goldschmidt meeting in Honolulu, Hawai'i, USA from June 21 to 26. Abstract submission is open now through February 14, 2020. â??Deep Volatilesâ?? will bring together presentations on the geochemistry of deep volatiles, including analytical, experimental, and theoretical studies of the storage and circulation of major (C, H, N, S) volatiles, rare gases, and halogens in the mantle and between the mantle and other reservoirs (surface/crust/core). We invite studies pertaining to volatile concentrations and isotopic ratios across the spectrum of shallow and deep mantle reservoirs. These may include spectroscopic and other analytical studies of volatile storage in minerals, melts, and fluids, experimental studies of solubility, storage capacities, partitioning, and transport (e.g., diffusion), as well as theoretical studies ranging from microscopic (DFT, thermodynamic properties) to macroscopic (large scale studies of storage and fluxes between mantle and surface reservoirs).
