Greetings,

I wanted to invite you to participate in a session for the Cities on
Volcanoes 11 meeting this May: Blueprints for effective Partnerships, and
Meet the Practitioners.â?? These sessions will be held in

Volcanic eruptions often cross both geographical borders, and vertical
borders within levels of government, and forming effective partnerships
between these partner organizations before an eruption is vital in creating
a quick response, sharing life-safety information, and maintaining public
trust in all agencies involved. Blueprints for effective partnerships will
present some international examples of times where working together worked
well, and participants will distill that information down to a â??blueprint.â??

In the second part of this session, we will have several lightning talks,
from the Emergency Management and Civil Defense side of volcano
preparedness and response, where the speakers will then become panelists to
answer questions. Please share this information with anyone you thin may be
interested, especially those in the Civil Defense/Emergency Management
world.

The session abstract is on page 64 of the second circular for the
conference http://files.convin.gr/cov11/Volc11_2nd%20Circular_FINAL.pdf

Conference details and registration (Required to participate) can be found
here: https://pcoconvin.eventsair.com/volcanoes11/

If you are interested in giving a lightning talk, please contact me at
brian.terbush@xxxxxxxxxx with the topic you would like to speak about.
