*Community Eruption Response Workshop: Eruption dynamics and tephra
collection and analysis*

Join us for a one-day post-AGU workshop to strategize, and plan for a
potential physical volcanological response to a future U.S. volcanic
eruption. The focus is to design program that can supply consistent,
reliable observations of eruption parameters and sampling of eruption
products on fine temporal and spatial scales to enhance physics-based
models of eruption and conduit dynamics. This workshop will consist of open
discussion of the physical volcanology methods, approaches, and data sets
needed to achieve this goal and is part of the CONVERSE Research
Coordination Network project. To learn more about the CONVERSE goals visit:

.

The workshop will take place on Saturday December 14 at the Westin St
Francis hotel in San Francisco. We can provide $200 per person to assist
with hotel costs, and some limited travel support is available. Funding is
available for U.S. citizens only.
