In this opportunity, we are offering two internships, one in Costa Rica (OVISCORI-UNA) and one in Mexico (combined effort between CENAPRED, Centro Geo (CGEO)-UNAM in Juriquilla and Instituto de GeofÃsica, Unidad Morelia â??UNAM). This internship program is a joint project between Young Latin American Volcanologist (Jóvenes Volcanólogos Latinoamericanos - JVLA) and the Latin American Association of Volcanology (Asociación Latinoamericana de VolcanologÃa â?? ALVO). Like for the pilot test, the initiative is financially supported by IAVCEI. The main goal of this program is to provide training opportunities to the new generations of volcanologists in our region. At the same time, we are positive that this initiative will contribute to strengthen the cooperation between observatories and universities in Latin America. Esta iniciativa, surgida del esfuerzo conjunto entre Jóvenes Volcanólogos Latinoamericanos (JVLA) y la Asociación Latinoamericana de VolcanologÃa (ALVO), contará una vez más con el apoyo de la Asociación Internacional de VolcanologÃa y QuÃmica del Interior de la Tierra (IAVCEI) y buscará seguir brindará oportunidades de entrenamiento y formación profesional a las nuevas generaciones de volcanólogos de nuestra región. Al mismo tiempo, confiamos en que la iniciativa potenciará los vÃnculos de interacción y cooperación entre los observatorios y universidades de Latinoamérica. En esta oportunidad, se estarán ofreciendo dos pasantÃas: una en Costa Rica, en el Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (OVSICORI-UNA) y otra en México, en un esfuerzo conjunto entre el Centro Nacional de Prevención de Desastres (CENAPRED) y Centro Geo (CGEO) en Juriquilla e Instituto de GeofÃsica, Unidad Morelia, ambos de la Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM).
