Ckelar Volcanes we are pleased to invite you to the International Course of Volcanic-Geothermal Fluids Geochemistry (Curso Internacional de GeoquÃmica de Fluidos Volcánicos y Geotermales - CIGEFLU), which will be carried out at Universidad Católica del Norte (Antofagasta) and San Pedro de Atacama, northern Chile, 8-15 November, 2019. This course is addressed to Post-Doctoral, PhD, MSc and advanced undergraduate students, whose scientific interest is related to fluid geochemistry in volcanic and geothermal areas. Participants will take part of theoretical and practical lessons with the participation of outstanding professors specialized in fluid geochemistry. Practical lessons will be carried out at three beautiful volcanic and geothermal areas in the â??heartâ?? of the Central Andes. The program includes three days of theoretical lessons and three days of fieldtrips showing both classical and innovative sampling/measurement methods of volcanic and geothermal fluid emissions. The official language of the course will be Spanish; however, some lessons will be dictated in English (without simultaneous translation). Costs are in the range of 575 - 900 USD, and include transports during the course (Antofagasta-San Pedro de Atacama and fieldtrips), accommodation, meals (breakfast and lunch-snacks), group activities, among others.
