Leptoukh Online Giovanni Workshop has the theme "Enhancing Knowledge with Giovanni". This workshop will take place as four hour-long Webinars, on June 26, July 10, July 17, and July 24. These four Webinars will describe how Giovanni can be used in different ways to enhance scientific knowledge. On June 26, Dr. Mark Jury will describe the intergration of Giovanni with a variety of other data types for research science. On July 10, Sean McCartney and Amita Mehta of NASA's ARSET program will show how Giovanni is used in their series of training workshops for professional audiences. On July 17, Dr. James Acker of the NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center will review the current state of Giovanni, provide a glimpse of Giovanni's future, and demonstrate how Giovanni enhances visual knowledge of NASA's Earth Science data by presenting the next set of images selected for the Giovanni Image Hall of Fame. Dr. Guido Cervone will conclude the workshop with a presentation on how he uses Giovanni and the statistical analysis package R in an undergraduate remote sensing class at Pennsylvania State University. (All of the Webinars will be recorded for later viewing; registrants will be notified when the recorded Webinar is available online.) ============================================================== Volcano Listserv is a collaborative venture among Arizona State University (ASU), Portland State University (PSU), the Global Volcanism Program (GVP) of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History, and the International Association for Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI).
