Session description: Monogenetic volcanism is the most widespread type of volcanism on Earth. It is found in all geotectonic settings and encompasses a broad compositional spectrum. This session aims to bring together contributions about the source and evolution of the magmas that produce monogenetic volcanism, as well as the eruptive dynamics, spatial-temporal distribution, geomorphology and degradation of the associated volcanic edifices and deposits. We invite contributions focused on field studies, geophysics, GIS analysis, geomorphometry, petrology, and geochemistry, among others, related to the understanding of monogenetic volcanism. Este se encuentra en todos los ambientes geotectónicos y abarca un amplio espectro composicional. Esta sesión pretende ser un encuentro para temas relacionados con la fuente y evolución del magma que da origen al vulcanismo monogenético, asà como a la dinámica de éste cuando llega a superficie en términos de estilos eruptivos, crecimiento, geomorfologÃa y degradación de los edificios volcánicos asociados. La gran variedad de estilos eruptivos, tipos de depósitos y morfologÃa de los centros eruptivos son el resultado de una compleja combinación de parámetros internos (e.g. composición y volumen del magma) y externos (e.g. tectónica local e hidrogeologÃa) durante el transporte del magma desde su origen hasta la superficie. Con el fin de entender los procesos, conductos de alimentación y distribución espacio â?? temporal de este tipo de vulcanismo, invitamos a contribuir con trabajos relacionados directamente con estudios de campo, métodos geofÃsicos, análisis GIS, morfometrÃa, petrografÃa, geoquÃmica, entre otros relacionados con este tópico.
