The Deadline for abstract submission is 3 May 2019. The official language of the meeting will be Spanish. For further details, please check the website: https://www.1ercongresoalvo.com/ We invite collaborations from different areas of volcanology and beyond, to all that people attracted by volcanoes and working on capture their magnificent in different artistic ways. *Session Description:* Volcanoes are a source of artistic inspiration. Several literary, plastic and musical works make reference to them, they might have been inspired by volcanic landscapes or stimulated by the shocking nature of eruptive events. In addition to this, the easy and globalised access to technological resources has allowed the documentation of volcanic eruptions, increasing the possibility of taking photographs, videos and animations of exceptional beauty. The goal of this session is presenting works collecting artistic and popular expressions, as well as the relationship of these with the history and culture of each region. Participants are invited to present artistic works such as literature/writing, paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos, animations, related audios, inspired by any aspect of vulcanology.
