Hello colleagues,

Please pass along to interested undergraduates:

The Department of Geological Sciences at New Mexico State University is looking to fill 1-2 MS teaching assistantship positions for Fall 2018! The Department of Geological Sciences at NMSU has a strong, MS-only graduate program and is surrounding by incredible geology. We are looking primarily for students interested in the fields of volcanology, igneous petrology, geochemistry, or in structure and/or neotectonics. All students accepted for Fall 2018 would receive a teaching assistantship stipend. MS project options in volcanology include investigations of large rhyolitic eruptions in southern New Mexico or recent rift-related basaltic volcanism; these projects include some grant support for research.

Interested students should check out our department webpage (https://geology.nmsu.edu) and contact myself (Dr. Emily Johnson: erj@xxxxxxxx) or other potential MS advisors.

Thanks!

Best,

Dr. Emily Johnson
