Dear Colleagues,
The University of Manchester, UK, has an open call for early career researchers, up to 5 years since PhD award, offering tenure-track fellowships, deadline 4th April.
This is an opportunity to join the Manchester Volcanology group, where twelve academics, post-docs and PhD students study a wide range of volcanological processes, in collaboration with national and international partners and with funding from UK, Europe and USA. We have access to cutting-edge analysis instruments for petrological and isotope studies, including time of flight SIMS and NanoSIMS, as well as field instruments for characterisation of volcanic plumes, high pressure / high temperature experimental apparatus and numerical modelling research tools. Current research project focus on satellite and ground-based remote sensing of volcanic plumes, drone-based magmatic gas measurements, modelling of magma ascent, volatile recycling and HPHT 4D x-ray tomography.
