On behalf of the IAVCEI Commission on Volcanogenic Sediments, we wish to draw your attention to the 7th International Maar Conference. The 7th International Maar Conference will be held from 21 to 25 May 2018. The venue is in the beautiful town of Olot (Catalonia, Spain), surrounded by dozens of basaltic monogenetic volcano such as maars, tuff rings and scoria cones. The conference will be a great forum for discussions on volcano-related sedimentary processes that are central to the commission’s activity. Consequently, on behalf of the IAVCEI Commission on Commission on Volcanogenic Sediments, we encourage you to submit contributions and to take part in developing new ideas and models in monogenetic volcano research. The paper submission remains open until the 20th January 2018.
