The Final conference "Novel approaches for Geothermal Exploration" of the IMAGE (Integrated Method for Advanced Geothermal Exploration) FP7 EU project will be held in Akureyri (North Iceland) on Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th October 2017.
For those who study and love Iceland, volcanoes and plan also to see northern lights, this is a perfect occasion to attend this conference, where the most advanced results on geothermal exploration in high-enthalpy systems, close to volcanic systems, will be presented, and also learn better about geothermal exploration in sedimentary environments.
For further information, I would suggest you to visit the IMAGE website @

and register to the conference!
All the best, looking forward to meet you there in few weeks!

Programme
A total of six sessions will be held and one poster session.
• EM/MT
• Geochemistry (incl. geothermometers and tracers)
• Geophysics (incl. active and passive seismics, and downhole methods (e.g. VSP)
• Modelling (incl. mechanical, reservoir and temperature models, and stress-fields)
• Reykjanes
• Structural geology
