We still have 4 openings available on fieldtrip C3 and would love to see those filled by other keen volcanologists! They are available on a first-come basis. Sign up at http://iavcei2017.org/registration.html

Day 1: Columbia River flood basalts; Rattlesnake ignimbrite

Day 2: Holocene pahoehoe, an amazing lava tube, Hawaiian-style vents, maars and tuff-rings of the High Lava Plains

Day 3: Circumnavigation of Crater Lake caldera and a partial eclipse of the sun

Day 4: Newberry caldera, rhyolitic lava, tuff rings, Plinian fallout, ignimbrite, and back to Portland

Cost is $500, which includes transportation, double-occupancy lodging, most food, and great rocks.
