Dear all,

I am pleased to announce the release of the new HOTVOLC web-GIS interface: http://hotvolc.opgc.fr

HOTVOLC is a web-based satellite-data-driven reporting system dedicated to the real-time monitoring of volcanic emissions (lava, ash and SO2). It is developed and managed by the "Observatoire de Physique du Globe de Clermont-Ferrand" (OPGC), and uses on-site automated ingestion of MSG-SEVIRI geostationary satellite data.

The interface allows you to interactively browse satellite imagery and associated data plots for both real-time and past events.

CSV data (ex. lava Volume Flow Rate) and Geotiff images (ex. Volcanic SO2 plume) can be openly downloaded by simply registering online.

Feel free to test and provide feedbacks to help us improve the HOTVOLC system. Please, do not hesitate to ask us would you have any questions or requests.

Kind regards,

Mathieu Gouhier
