International visitors are reminded that depending on country of origin, a visa may be required to enter the United States to attend the IAVCEI Portland conference. To assist you with obtaining a visa, attendees are asked to request a letter of invitation as soon as possible.
Visitors from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries will need approval through the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ETSA) from the US government before they board their flight to the US. See the VWP website for the list of VWP countries and a description of the ETSA.
Travellers from VWP countries who do not qualify for ETSA must apply for a visa.
When requesting a letter of invitation, please include the name on your passport, and the address of your institution.
If you are presenting a paper, please include the abstract submission number and the abstract title.
If you are not presenting a paper, please include your registration receipt number.
