We are advertising for a funded PhD studentship on ‘The role of supraglacial debris on ablation rates of glaciers and ice sheets’; see http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/lec/graduate-school/phd/current-opportunities/index.php?phd_id=315 for further information.  One type of common supraglacial debris is volcanic material.  Applications are welcome from across the globe.  Key dates are:
