Together with other 10 related articles, this special volume presents the results of the eruption column model inter-comparison study promoted by the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of Earth’s Interior (IAVCEI) Commission on Tephra Hazard Modelling. We want to publicly acknowledge and thank all the authors, Editors and reviewers involved on this notable collective research that supposes an important advance for our volcanological community.
The volume is dedicated to our dear young colleague, Dr. Solène Pouget, who sadly passed away while working on this study.
