Volcanic ash workshop: call for application

We are pleased to announce the workshop "Volcanic Ash as an Active Agent in the Earth System (VA3): Combining models and experiments", which will be held at Institute of Geophysics, University of Hamburg, Germany, on 12-13 September 2016.
Topics: The primary topics of the workshop are the state-of-the-art experimental and modeling techniques to study volcanic ash surface with respect to:
- Physical, chemical and mineralogical properties
- Generation and volcanic processing
- Atmospheric transport and processing
- Environmental and climatic impacts
The workshop aims to integrate the recent developments in this field and to foster the collaborations between laboratory, field and modeling investigations.
