Dear colleagues,

The abstract submission deadline for the 2016 JKASP meeting has been extended till April 29, 2016. The meeting will be held in Fairbanks, Alaska, May 31 – June 3, 2016. It will be the 9th iteration of continuous series of meetings, which bring together geoscientists from Japan, Russia, and the United States, focusing on subduction processes in the North Pacific. This is a great opportunity to see old friends and meet new ones while discussing the most recent advances in research and hazard mitigation. There will be a few excellent opportunities for field trips and excursions, including the overflight of Cook Inlet volcanoes and field trips to the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes. The full list of activities and travel information is available at http://gps.alaska.edu/JKASP/. Please consider joining us!
