Dear all,
we just returned from a volcano tour in Guatemala, where we observed and documented different ongoing activity at:
- Pacaya 21-22 Dec: growing intra-crater cinder cone,
- Santiaguito 26-28 Dec: moderate to strong explosive activity from Caliente dome, but no apparent effusive activity, and
- Fuego 29 Dec - 1 Jan: strong strombolian activity, beginning of lava flow on SE flank (build-up to the most recent paroxysm)
