The Department of Earth Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara is accepting applications to the graduate geophysics program in the areas of volcano seismology, infrasound, and seismo-acoustics to begin Fall 2016. Research will involve the collection, analysis, and data-driven modeling of seismic and acoustic waveform datasets at multiple volcanoes. Successful applicants will be guaranteed 5 years (PhD) and 2 years (MS) of support through TA and research activities, contingent on satisfactory progress.
