*DEADLINE TODAY! APOLOGIES ABOUT THE SHORT NOTICE*

AGU are trialling some new ways for students to get experience at presenting their results without having to incur large travel costs. This is via virtual poster showcases. There are is still one undergraduate deadline open on 12 October (good for masters or summer placement students) and also one for graduate students on 12 October.

More details here:
http://education.agu.org/undergraduate-students/virtual-poster-showcase/

This is the first year it is running and I am sure that the format will evolve but it can be especially fun to be part of something new as well as a useful experience and exposure.

Abstract Submission for Virtual Poster Showcases #2 and #3 Now Open

Help students build their presentation skills and get feedback on their science by encouraging them to participate in Virtual Poster Showcases.

This new opportunity allows both undergraduate and graduate students to share their research with the Earth and space science community virtually, eliminating the need to travel. This affordable and accessible option is ideal for students and can help build their academic résumés.

Students have the opportunity to:

·         Share their research

·         Practice their presentation skills

·         Review the posters of their peers

·         Receive quality feedback from peers and experts in the field

·         Build their credibility

Abstract submission closes 12 October

·         Submit an abstract for Virtual Poster Showcase #2 (for undergraduate students).

·         Submit an abstract for Virtual Poster Showcase #3 (for graduate students).

View timelines and learn more.
