Dear all,
Colima volcano underwent an intense phase of lava dome growth and collapse during the days preceding the major pyroclastic flow on 11 July which reached more than 10 km length and invaded a vast area near Montitlan on the southern flank.
Together with a local colleague, I visited Colima volcano from 12-16 July to documented its activity: pyroclastic flows, the 11 July pf deposit, the new lava flow on the southern side, and aerial images taken on 16 July.
