Dear Colleagues
You are all invited to submit your contribution to FisMat 2015, the Italian National Conference on Condensed Matter Physics that this year also includes the Environmental Physics and Geophysics sessions. This conference follows the first edition held in Milan in 2013 that gathered nearly 1000 scientists involved in condensed matter physics working in universities, research institutions and large scale facilities. The main objective is to facilitate intellectual exchange amongst complementary disciplines including Environmental Physics, Structural Geology, Physics of Earthquakes, Physical Processes in Volcanic Eruptions, Hazard and Disaster Risk Reduction.
The conference will be held in Palermo (Italy) from September 28 to October 2, 2015 and is hosted by the University of Palermo.
Invited Speakers for the Environmental Physics and Geophysics sessions are:
Alessandro Aiuppa, Università di Palermo (Italy)
Costanza Bonadonna, University of Geneva (Switzerland)
Mike Burton, University of Manchester (United Kingdom)
Giulio Di Toro, University of Manchester (United Kingdom)
Wolfango Plastino, Università Roma Tre, Roma (Italy)
Giuseppe Puglisi, Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Catania (Italy)
Maurizio Ripepe, Università di Firenze (Italy)
Cristina Sabbioni, CNR-ISAC, Bologna (Italy)
More information can be found on the website of the conference: http://fismat2015.cnism.it. Deadline for the abstract submission is 31/05/2015.
Best wishes from the chairmen, the scientific and the organizing committee with the hope to see many of you in Palermo.
