Announcement:   The 2nd Gregory G. Leptoukh Online Giovanni Workshop – Registration Now Open

Live presentations and posters highlight research which used the NASA Giovanni system

 

Registration is now open for the 2nd Gregory G. Leptoukh Online Giovanni Workshop.  This event is hosted by the NASA Goddard Earth Sciences Data and Information Services Center (GES DISC), a Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) in the NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS).

The first day of the workshop will be held on Monday, November 10, 2014 and will include an overview of the current status of Giovanni, an important update on the development of Giovanni-4, as well as three live presentations.

On November 12-13, 2014, the agenda will include several live presentations focused on the use of Giovanni within atmospheric, oceanic, and biospheric research.

The final day of the workshop consists of the “Global Poster Session”, during which PDF posters or slide presentations can be downloaded and viewed, and questions can be sent by email to the authors for discussion.  See below for registration information for the Global Poster Session, which is separate from registration for the live presentations.

Global Poster Session Registration Information:

To register for the Global Poster Session, simply send your email address to james.g.acker@xxxxxxxx with the Subject: Giovanni Workshop Global Poster Session Registration". 

Registration for the live presentations is not necessary to participate in the Global Poster Session.  The preferred email addresses of poster authors will only be sent to registrants on the Global Poster Session mailing list.   Registration for the live sessions will not also register a participant for the Global Poster Session, though the posters will be viewable online by the public.
