PhD opportunities in volcanology are now available at Drexel University (Philadelphia, USA), starting Fall 2015. Successful applicants would work with Prof. Loyc Vanderkluysen in the Department of Biodiversity, Earth & Environmental Science. Specific areas of research include volcanic gas remote sensing and monitoring, origin and emplacement of large igneous provinces, and volcano thermal remote sensing. These opportunities are supported by departmental assistantships, and external funding sources.

Application deadline: December 1, 2014
