6 positions in Volcanology in Munich (Germany) within the framework of the ERC Research Project EVOKES “Explosive Volcanism in the Earth System”

Hello all,
Three Ph.D. and 3 postdoctoral positions are available within the ERC Research Project EVOKES “Explosive Volcanism in the Earth System”. The project is based at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich (Germany) and the topics involved include:
- Rheological deformation map for magma
- Submarine volcanic explosions
- Acoustic emissions across the glass transition
- Neutron and X-ray tomography of volcanic materials
- Permeability history of erupted products
- Petrophysical properties of volcanic ash
All positions are open immediately and will be filled independently. To express interest and apply, send one PDF to Don Dingwell at Dingwell@xxxxxx. This file should include your CV, a research statement, an academic transcript and contact information for 2 referees. The research statement should include a description of undergraduate research projects/studies undertaken as well as research interests for the future.
