Lecturer in Solid Earth Geophysics

Faculty of Science

£38,907 to £45,053 per annum

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Solid Earth Geophysics. The successful applicant will have a developing international research record, with high quality publications, and a collaborative, interdisciplinary outlook. Possible research areas include volcanology, seismology, geodesy, tectonics and hydrogeology. A clear interest in solving applied environmental problems in, e.g. natural hazards research or resource exploitation is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, assessment and module development in the area of solid Earth geophysics. You must have a PhD in Geophysics or closely allied subject and be able to fulfil essential elements of the person specification. This full time post is available from 1 July 2014.
