Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that a Topical Volume of the journal Pure and Applied Geophysics  (PAGEOPH) is planned following the VI International Conference on Fractals and Dynamic Systems in Geoscience that was held in Perugia, Italy (26 September-02 October; http://www.fractgeosci2013.unipg.it). We kindly invite you to contribute to this volume.

Deadline for paper submission is February 28, 2014.

Submissions must be made through the on-line submission system at:

http://www.editorialmanager.com/pageoph/

When asked to choose Article Type, select “Report-Top.Vol. Fractals and Dynamic Systems in Geoscience”. Hence, proceed following the on-line system procedure.

Note that we also welcome and encourage relevant contributions from researchers who have not participated in the conference. So please pass this information on to your colleagues.

A description of the Topical Volume is reiterated below.

Best wishes and happy New Year,

Diego Perugini and Jörn H. Kruhl

TOPICAL VOLUME DESCRIPTION

Fractals, multifractals, non-linear processes and chaotic dynamic systems are becoming increasingly fundamental for analyzing data and understanding processes in the Earth and Environmental Sciences.

The aim of this topical volume is to present the latest research and techniques in the application of fractals and dynamic systems to Earth systems, with emphases on predictability of geological risks, natural resources and climate change.
