Prof. Dingwell offers the first ever COURSERA MOOC in "Volcanic Eruptions: a material science".

The course presents volcanic activity from the point of view of the materials that eruptions produce and the properties of molten rocks responsible for eruptions.
The background required is basic high school physics and chemistry.
This course builds on the very successful annual course MELTS, GLASSES, MAGMAS, provided by Prof. Dingwell since 2000 and held at the LMU, in Munich.
