Visiting one-year position in Geology, with expertise in Sedimentology, Stratigraphy and Earth History, at the rank of assistant professor. Effective August 2013. Ph.D. required. The successful candidate will offer courses in Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, Earth History and Physical Geology (with labs), and will be expected to fully participate in Regional Geology field trips (4-day) in both Fall and Spring semesters. The standard annual teaching load is five courses. Whitman College wishes to reinforce its commitment to enhance diversity, broadly defined, recognizing that to provide a diverse learning environment is to prepare students for personal and professional success in an increasingly multicultural and global society.
