From: "Mehmet Keskin" <keskin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
****************************************************************************************
Dear Colleagues,
We welcome your contributions to the following session at the EGU General Assembly in Vienna, 7-12 April 2013.
Please note the abstract submission deadline of 9th January 2013.
TS6.7/GMPV19 Magmatism and Geodynamics of Collision Zones (co-organized)
http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2013/session/12117/keskin
Conveners:
Mehmet Keskin (keskin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
Julian A. Pearce (PearceJA@xxxxxxxxxxxxx)
Mark Allen (m.b.allen@xxxxxxxxxxxx)
Magmatism
is an important but under-appreciated component of collision zones.
This session seeks to explore the structural controls and geodynamics of
such magmatism, as well as processes of melting, fractionation,
contamination and emplacement.
Contributions
will be welcomed from a variety of fields including Tectonics,
Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Petrology, Volcanology, Geophysics (e.g.
Seismic Tomography and Magnetotelluric studies) and Geodynamic
Modelling.
