Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to submit an abstract to the following VGP session at the AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco, 3-7 December 2012:

V033: Near-Field Remote Sensing Techniques to Monitor and Assess Topographic Change and Related Hazards at Active Volcanoes

Quick and accurate measurements of volumes and eruption rates of growing lava domes and flows are critical to monitor and evaluate hazard at active volcanoes. Advances in hardware, software, and imaging techniques make data capture and processing at active volcanic terrains possible in near real-time. This session highlights recent advances of ground and aerial near-field remote sensing techniques to measure, record and help evaluate topographic change. We invite presentations on topographic modeling; including the fields of photogrammetry, radar, and LiDAR, time-series of topographic models and cross-disciplinary integration of volcano monitoring techniques.

The abstract submission deadline is 8 August 2012:  http://agu-fm12.abstractcentral.com/
We hope to see you there!
