Subject: InSAR Applications in Tectonics and Ground Deformation - Research Position at GNS Science, New Zealand

GNS Science has a permanent position available for a scientist who will provide
leadership in the application and development of InSAR and related
remote-sensing techniques for tectonic, volcanological, localised
ground-movement (e.g. landslide, geothermal), natural hazards, and disaster
monitoring research.

We are looking to hire at the level of a recent PhD or post-doc. Experience with
advanced differential InSAR processing package(s) and InSAR time series
techniques is required. In addition, experience with GIS and remote-sensing
packages (e.g. ArcGIS, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine) and sub-pixel correlation software
(e.g. COSI-Corr) will be an advantage.

The appointee will work in a cross-disciplinary way with researchers in
tectonics, geodesy, volcanology, active faulting, seismology, landslides, remote
sensing and numerical modelling.
