Call for session proposal for IAVCEI 2013 (Kagoshima)

Dear IAVCEI folks:
RM: Call for session proposal for IAVCEI 2013 in Kaoghima
On behalf of the Science Committee of the forthcoming Scientific Assembly of IAVCEI (Kagoshima in 2013), I would like to ask you to submit the proposal of the scientific sessions in the conference. Scientific sessions cover various aspects of geophysics, geology, and geochemistry including planet volcanology, physical and chemical volcanology, conduit processes, magma chamber processes, magma genesis and petrology, tectonically controlled volcanism, statistics in volcanology, volcanic hazards, and so on. The main theme of the conference is “Forecasting volcanic activity: reading and translating the messages of nature for society”. It contains short- and long term forecasting of volcanic eruption, and understanding the behavior of a volcano in its history from eruption products. Special proposals on this theme are also welcomed.
Submission should contain the following items.
1. Name of the proposed session.
2. Names of conveners with affiliations and email addresses. The leader should be marked.
3. The content of the proposed session (<300 words). Should include brief overview and significance of the proposed session, and fields of the expecting contributors.
4. Names of potential keynote speakers with affiliations.
5. Special consideration needed by the scientific committee, if any.
Please send the proposal to Setsuya Nakada (nakada@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) till 31 December 2011.
