Dear ListServ members,

We would like to invite you to submit a contribution to the session:
Geological hazards related to water-rock interaction of the WRI (Water Rock
Interaction) meeting to be held at Guanajuato, Mexico on August 16-20, 2010.
This is sponsored by the International Association of Geochemistry and
Cosmochemistry.  The deadline for the receipt of abstracts has been extended
until February 28.

This session will explore not only the geologic events producing
catastrophic debris flows and other hazards that threaten populated areas,
their origin, triggering mechanisms, and mitigation actions, but also the
events where magma interacts with water such as those occurring in
hydromagmatic eruptions, processes (MFI), products, and explosive
mechanisms.

Conveners: Gerardo Carrasco-Núñez (geradoc@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) and Lucia
Capra (lcapra@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), Centro de Geociencias, UNAM, México.
