Dear colleagues,

At the 4th International Workshop on Volcanic Ash, in Rotorua, New Zealand, in March 2007, which dealt mainly with aviation safety issues, it was decided that presenters would be invited to submit papers for a special issue of the journal 'Natural Hazards'.  We are pleased to announce that the 9 accepted papers for the special issue, together with an editorial, will be formally published in November.  The papers are all now available online.  Below is the order of papers.  The papers can be accessed by going to the journal site at http://www.springerlink.com/content/x2863n917403/?p=22a7700630514e87adb666c797dc958e&pi=0; if you have difficulty accessing the papers, please talk to one of us or one of the lead authors.
kind regards,

Fred Prata and Andrew Tupper, co-editors
