The sessions are: 1) Volcanism and tectonics; 2) From core to sky - origin and evolution of magmas and volcanoes; 3) Multiphase sheet intrusions in plutonic and sub-volcanic systems; 4) Nuclear power plants and natural hazards; 5) Tracking instabilities and heterogeneities in the upper mantle: constraints from geophysics, geochemistry, and numerical modelling; 6) From atomic scale to continent movements: mantle petrology, rheology and deep geophysics; 7) Geodynamic constraints on the occurrence of intraplate seismicity; 8) Exploration and assessment of gas-hydrates: Potential future energy resource. The conference will be held at the Laboratory of Magma and Volcanoes, University Blaise Pascal, Auvergne region. We foresee 3 days of meeting, plus a 2 days post-conference field trip.
