************************************************************** From: Amanda Clarke <Amanda.Clarke@xxxxxxx> ************************************************************** Eleventh-hour reminder: Please consider submitting an abstract to the following session of the 2008 IAVCEI General Assembly in Iceland. Chambers and conduits II: Experiments and numerical modeling Conveners: Michael Manga, Department of Earth & Planetary Science, University of California, manga@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Amanda Clarke, School of Earth and Space Exploration, Arizona State University, Amanda.clarke@xxxxxxx This session is dedicated to understanding magma dynamics and evolution in the subsurface, with particular emphasis on circulation in chambers and ascent through conduits and dikes. Geodetic, geophysical and petrologic observations are often employed to constrain subsurface magma conditions, while experiments and numerical models provide parametric structure and theoretical insight, allowing observations to be interpreted within a dynamical context. This session invites abstracts on laboratory and numerical studies designed to understand: - magma chamber evolution and dynamics - magma ascent dynamics ============================================================== To unsubscribe from the volcano list, send the message: signoff volcano to: listserv@xxxxxxx, or write to: volcano-request@xxxxxxxx To contribute to the volcano list, send your message to: volcano@xxxxxxxx Please do not send attachments. ==============================================================
