My short-term goal at the BSC will be to set up a line of modelling in physical volcanology taking advantage of the impressive BSC computational facilities (currently a 100Teraflops IBM cluster). In this sense I would like to encourage European and worldwide modellers in volcanology to establish collaborations and/or to consider projects in which the BSC facilities could be useful.
