Hi there,

I'm a researcher with Diverse TV in the UK. We're making an extreme
survival series called Man v. Wild for the Discovery Channel, in which
presenter Bear Grylls shows viewers how they might be able to survive
if they get stuck in various locations with no prospect of immediate
help.

I'm trying to find out as much information about Sumatran volcanoes
generally and Talang in particular - in particular what it looks like, and
whether it's safe enough to visit at the moment. We're quite keen to film on
it, but I'm not sure whether that would be possible. Is there anyone
who might be able to help me? I am looking for advice on dangers,
access - even simply what it looks like!

Any help or advice you could give me would be very much appreciated!

All the best.

Catherine Phillips
