The University at Buffalo's Center for GeoHazards Studies is pleased
to announce its First-Annual Conference entitled "Natural Disasters in
Small Communities:  How Can We Help?" The conference will be held
adjacent to the UB campus in Buffalo, NY on March 29-30, 2008.
Sessions will be devoted to the following themes: 1) Modeling and
uncertainty of Geohazards; 2) Geohazard Analysis and Management using
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science; 3) Case studies of
Natural Disasters, and 4) Communicating the Danger to Stakeholders.
Deadlines for online registration and abstract submission at
www.geohazards.buffalo.edu are February 28, 2008.  For additional
