Michael L. Johnson Endowed Chair in Geological Sciences

New Mexico State University

The Department of Geological Sciences at NMSU invites applicants for a
tenure-track faculty position at a rank commensurate with experience
and demonstrated research accomplishments in the field of isotope
geochemistry other than U-Pb and Ar geochronology.  A Ph.D. is
required at time of appointment. NMSU has a firm commitment to
excellence in both teaching and research (www.nmsu.edu/~geology
<http://www.nmsu.edu/~geology> ).  We seek applicants who will teach
undergraduate courses in physical geology, geochemistry, and isotope
geochemistry; develop graduate courses in the applicant's specialty;
maintain a strong, externally funded research program; sustain a
record of peer-reviewed publication; and advise MS thesis projects.
The Johnson Endowed Chair includes an annual research stipend of
$20,000.
