The Volcanology Group at the Instituto de Geofisica of the Universidad
Nacional Autonoma de Mexico invites applications for an Investigador
Titular A (tenure track assistant reseracher or professor) position to
begin in February/March 2008.
The successful candidates will be interested in developing projects in the
geophysical aspects of volcanology (seismic, gravimetric, geodetic, and
other related techniques with direct applications to volcano monitoring).
The initial contract will be for the period of one year, but renewable for
up to a total of 5 years until tenure. Initial salary will be the
equivalent of ca 2400.00 $US per month (after taxation) plus medical
insurance, start-up, etc.

Applications should be received before November 28, 2007 to receive full
consideration by evaluation commitees. Results will be known by December
