Abstract submission for the AGU Fall meeting is now open. We invite
contributions to the following session:

V32: Halogens in Volcanic Systems and their Environmental Impacts
Sponsor: Volcanology, Geochemistry, and Petrology

Abstract:
Halogens play a significant role in volcanic systems and can have
pronounced impacts on Earth's atmosphere and environment. This session
will focus on results of experiments, measurements on active volcanoes
and their rocks, atmospheric measurements, and theoretical models that
investigate the role of halogens in volcanic and related plutonic
systems and how they affect the Earth system. This session follows
from the workshop "Halogens in Volcanic Systems and Their
Environmental Impacts" to be held at Yosemite National Park, CA, on 6
- 9 December 2007, immediately before the Fall AGU Conference (please
see: http://eps.mcgill.ca/~donb/workshop/).
