Responsibilities include teaching a selection of introductory geology courses for non-majors, as well as courses for Geology majors in Mineralogy, lab sections for Introductory Petrology, and an approved upper division course in the candidate?s area of expertise. A Master?s Degree in Geological Sciences or a closely allied field is required. The department is composed of dynamic and enthusiastic faculty who maintain diverse research programs in which undergraduate and M.S. students participate. Central Washington University is located in Ellensburg, population 15,000, which provides one of the finest living environments in the Pacific Northwest.
