The Faculty of Science in the University of Colima, Mexico is 
looking for an enthusiastic person to enter the growing area of Earth 
Science. The successful applicant will be expected to initiate exciting 
research projects and will already have a proven track record of 
publications. A PhD is required in geosciences, with some relevant 
postdoctoral research. Research interests in any area of Earth Science 
will be considered, but they will need to compliment existing areas of 
expertise, which include volcanology, seismology and evaluation and 
mitigation of hazards. Experience in GIS would be desirable. 

During 2007 we are launching a new degree "Environmental Science 
and Risk Management" and the successful applicant will form part of 
the nucleus of lecturers for this course. There will also be 
opportunities for postgraduate teaching. Teaching will be in spanish.

The start date will be August 2007. Anyone who is interested should
