The Department of Geological Sciences at NMSU invites applicants for a nine-month tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the field of stable isotope geochemistry. Rank and salary will depend upon experience and demonstrated research history. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate courses in physical geology, geochemistry, and isotope geochemistry, develop graduate courses in the applicant's specialty, maintain a strong, externally funded research program, sustain a record of peer-reviewed publication, and advise MS thesis projects. A Ph.D. is required by time of appointment. New Mexico State University has a firm commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. The Department of Geological Sciences has a traditional field-based program with strengths in sedimentology, petrology, structural geology, and tectonics.
