The Department of Seismology of the Instituto de Geofísica of the
Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México is seeking an outstanding
researcher at Assistant Professor level. The research activities of the
Department consists of seismotectonics, source studies, crustal
deformations related to earthquakes, volcano-seismology, crustal and
upper mantle structure studies.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree, a post-doctoral and teaching
experience, and a publication record in seismology or related fields.
The successful candidate is expected to carry out independent research,
collaborate with colleagues of the Department, teach graduate level
courses and advise students.
